TWO THINGS GOD WILL GIVE

PSALM 29:11 NKJ

PSALM 29:11 NKJ
11 The Lord will give strength to His people;
The Lord will bless His people with peace.

 I am trying to find devotionals in Revelation, but it's just not working for me.  Although, here is a side note.  Revelation 13:16-18 talks about the mark of the beast and 666.  The mark of the beast was given in the right hand or on the forehead.  Notice it does not mention right or left shoulder, so we can rule out the vaccine as the mark of the beast.

On a more positive note, verse eleven of Psalm 29 offers us two things that God gives.  If the scriptures say He gives, then it obviously indicates He has the ability to give.  And we have the capacity to receive.

God gives strength to His people.  I am confident we have not plumbed the depths of God's strength in our lives.  Oh, we may have tasted it in a small amount but receiving His strength is a massive resource.  David often spoke of the strength of God and how God was his strength.  Strength to handle the problems he faced.  Strength to fight the battle he encountered.  Strength to deal with disappointment and despair.  David had really learned to depend on the Lord for strength. He learned how to strengthen himself in the Lord. David was strong because of his faith in God.  He saw God as the source of strength.  As we read the Psalms, we'll continue to see strength as a big theme in David's life.  If everything was easy for David, strength would not be necessary.

The Lord will bless His people with peace.  Here is another God-given benefit.  A peace that transcends circumstances and settings.  A peace that passes all understanding. The sense of peace that comes from God is vitally important in these turbulent times.  God gives and blesses His children with strength and peace.

APPLICATION:

How are you in the strength and peace department?  Have you stopped to ask for God's strength?  Have you given up on ever having peace?  Or have you made God’s strength and peace an illusion, something that's just out of reach?  The good news is that God gives both.  He is the source of true strength and lasting peace.  And since He gives and blesses, we can ask and receive.

And one more thing, Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours. Make sure you take time to give God thanks today for all He has done!

PRAYER:

Dear Heavenly Father.  I ask You for peace and a supernatural strength to better serve You on the earth. Thank you for all you have done!
